Electronic Exam Center Project

In this project, the center works closely with the scientific departments, colleges, institutes and beneficiaries of the local community to provide assessment and measurement tools that are characterized by stability, objectivity and standard for the academic skills of electronic test takers, whether they are students, employees or clients from the local community. The center also seeks to provide facilities and comprehensive access to its beneficiaries with special needs, which helps them to perform tests commensurate with their needs and abilities.

Continuity of the educational process during the Corona pandemic

In the context of the emergency conditions and the precautionary measures taken by the country to confront the spread of the (Corona) virus, the University of Jeddah has taken many precautionary measures to confront the virus, in order to ensure the regularity of the study process - the Center for E-Learning and Distance Education has prepared an emergency precautionary plan to be implemented This plan aimed to ensure the continuation of the educational process with the least possible disruption to the educational process for students and teachers alike.

Teaching performance indicator for the University of Jeddah

It is an indicator launched by the Center for E-Learning and Distance Education on a weekly basis. This contains a set of indicators that in turn compare the number of teaching hours given by faculty members in the college versus the training hours that are supposed to be given according to the admission and registration system (Banner).
The role of this indicator is to create a kind of good competition between the faculties and motivate all its members to provide full teaching hours, in addition to an advertisement for the best 3 faculties in terms of performance.

e-Courses Development Project

The "Fourth Generation Courses" project is a sustainable project in response to the University of Jeddah Education 4.0 initiative to be the executive part responsible for transforming the course development part of the initiative's vision into a reality in accordance with international standards, the standards of the National Center and international best practices, where the MicroLearning strategy will be used in the development and delivery of courses.

Climbing the Great Wall of China:
Teaching Chinese at a distance at the University of Jeddah

On February 23, 2019, His Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, paid a historic visit to the People's Republic of China, where they discussed joint cooperation between the two countries.
The visit resulted in the initiation of a plan to include the Chinese language as a curriculum at all levels of education in schools in Saudi universities. In light of this decision, the Center for E-Learning and Distance Education at the University of Jeddah has developed an integrated distance course for teaching the Chinese language.
